Annual Holiday Tradition Celebrated at Marietta’s Historic Marlow House
Friday, November 19, 2010–Atlanta Lyric Theatre presents its second annual Christmas Tea with Santa Claus and Cinderella, offering children and adults a whimsical celebration at the historic Marlow House (192 Church Street) near the Marietta Square, beginning Saturday, December 4.
The Christmas Tea with Santa Claus and Cinderella features tea sandwiches, holiday cookies and candies, story time with Santa, music by Santa’s Elves who lead a parade to take photos with Santa and a special Christmas treat for each child.
Completing the setting, The Marlow House, a charming Victorian house on the historic registry will be brimming with cheer and holiday decorations! Tickets are $30 plus tax per person, and seating is limited.

The Rink at Park Tavern Hosts Breakfast with Santa on Opening Day
Celebrate the Grand Opening of Atlanta’s New Ice Skating Rink with Santa and Mrs. Claus on Monday, November 22 at 8 a.m.
Second Breakfast with Santa Set for Friday, November 26 from 8 to 10:30 a.m.
Frozen Hot Chocolate & Cookies with Santa on Tuesday, November 30 from 4 to 7:30 p.m.
The Rink at Park Tavern, a new covered ice skating rink located in the heart of Midtown in Piedmont Park, will open to the public on Monday, November 22, 2010. To celebrate its arrival, Park Tavern is hosting a special Breakfast with Santa at The Rink from 8 to 10:30 a.m. that morning. For $10 kids can enjoy sweets from Santa’s bakery, cereal and fruit juices. Parents can bring a camera, but there will also be a professional photographer available to snap pictures with Santa. Park Tavern’s new homemade hot chocolate and new frozen hot chocolate will be available for purchase. Parents will also be able to purchase bagels, coffee and gourmet Danishes. Breakfast with Santa does not include the cost of skating or skate rental. Tickets can be purchased online at http://www.xorbia.com/tickets/therink/.

ABOUT THE RINK AT PARK TAVERN
Located in the spacious Garden Tent in Park Tavern, The Rink will feature modern amenities for day and night skating including a brand new rink created with harvested rainwater that is 85 feet long and 40 feet wide. Skaters will stay warm under a beautiful heated tent with a state-of-the-art sound system; while observers can enjoy rink-side dining, homemade hot chocolate, specialty cocktails, house-brews, ½ price wine bottles every Wednesday, 1/2 off sushi nightly from 10 p.m. to midnight, holiday decorations, and much more. With original woodwork, Stone Mountain-granite walls, stack-stone fireplaces, granite bars, new leather furniture and a natural slate floor, Park Tavern’s lodge-like feel will only enhance the overall experience.
Accommodating approximately 200 skaters, The Rink at Park Tavern will be open for evening skating experiences daily beginning at 5 p.m. on Monday November, 22, 2010 through Monday, February 14, 2011 and will offer four sessions on weekends and when kids are out of school on holiday breaks at 9 a.m., 1 p.m., 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. Each skating session is 3 ½ hours with ½ hour breaks to resurface the ice with harvested rainwater. At 9 p.m. each night, The Rink at Park Tavern will only be open to ages 21 and up. The Rink is also available for private skating lessons, parties and even marriage proposals. A Christmas Tradition at Callanwolde Returns – December 1 – 12, 2010
Callanwolde Fine Arts Center is proud to announce the return of the much-loved holiday tradition Christmas at Callanwolde.
Christmas at Callanwolde, Atlanta's spectacular 27-year holiday event, will return this year offering new highlights along with cherished traditions that will enchant both young and old.
For 12 days families will enjoy the splendor of the historic Gothic-Tudor mansion, decorated for the season by Atlanta's top interior and floral designers. The rooms, adorned with an array of designer treasures, will reflect a Roaring 20’s Christmas theme reminiscent of the glorious era when the Candler family lived there.
Guests will browse throughout the mansion and enjoy design and holiday finery, special seasonal shopping, the Callanwolde Artists Studio, holiday music and live entertainment throughout the day, including Callanwolde’s Aeolian Organ.
Featured events will include:
- The Premiere Party (by advance reservation only)
- Breakfast with Santa (by advance reservation only)
- Teddy Bear Tea (by advance reservation only)
- Battle of the Ice
- Children’s Marshmallow Roasts
- Callanwolde Gingerbread Village – (on display throughout event)
